Currently on the car show planning committee we have myself from our club and Larry and Mike from MSMA. There was another who has since had to back out due to work overload.
Even though Larry is a member of both clubs, I would like another member of our club to step up and help so it's more balanced since Larry is also already President of MSMA.
We already have a flyer prepared, and are in the planning stages of vendor space/sponsor fees, etc and have a good structure being worked on for fees, sponsorship, etc--we're getting close to printing it out and lining up those businesses.
Please help, the majority of the car show work is before it actually happens. This is not anything like a part time job, but we do need anotehr for input, perspective, and ideas.
Please contact me ASAP.
thanks
Bryan

Boy Brian, you really know how to make the crickets chirp around here. I would volunteer, but every meeting would have to be via phone or internet. I figured, especialy in the cold last Saturday, it was close to $40 just in gas to get to Karl's and I can't justify 4-5 trips to help. Plus I am pretty sure the show is the same weekend we go to the Northern Ohio ACES show. Sorry, if there is something you think I can do from here, I would be willing to pitch in.

I don't know if NCC does this, but I know what always gets me to go is finding these events online or ecspecially posted on other forums. There are many local GM, Ford and other forums that these could be promoted from and even a few national forums (aside from TC) with regional or state sections to attract the local guys. This type of promotion would be easy and free. It is great to watch the chatter to see how big of a turn out it may be or get fedback afterwards that isn't generated by the NCC forum.
For instance I saw Mitch posted on the Camaro site for Bowtie Brunch, but that is the only one I could find.
There is a meeting early next month of all the car clubs in the area and they exchange flyers of each others planned activity and it all gets listed on Autoswalk. I'm pretty sure Larry, with this club and MSMA, is planning to go to that meeting. We should have enough of this planned and in print to distribute the flyers at that meeting. I'm sure MSMA and Friendly will be advertising and promoting the event too, but you're right Andy, the more exposure it gets, the better the turnout. I'll have my '66 in the back "Barn Find" row....
Yep, there is an organized meeting that also is where the show fliers get swapped. We're ready for that with what we have. When it gets closer, (August 7th is the show date) we will be contacting clubs, websites, etc plus flyer distributing at cruises and things like that.
Mitch-I can't call tonight or tomorrow, I will e-mail you direct though.
