February/March/April Meeting Idea...

Last year NCC spent a few hours doing some volunteer work for Feed My Starving Children.

Over about 2 hours we measured, bagged, sealed, labeled, boxed, and palleted enough meals to feed 53 children for a year! And had a lot of fun doing it.

Feed My Starving Children is located in Coon Rapids, near Hwy 610 & Coon Rapids Blvd.

I like to suggest that we do this again, and have an even bigger turnout!

We can integrate a regular NCC meeting somewhere beforehand (restaurant), then go over to FMSC.We have to "reserve" a date & time, and specify how many will be in our group.

Saturdays fill up VERY fast, Thursday or Friday evenings are best. They can handle about 120 people during a meal preparation session. (Children are welcome, but they have to be at least 5 years old, and accompanied by an adult.)

I thought I read that February is full unless we do a weekday (which isnt an option for me anymore w/school and work). We could do a Saturday night in March but im pretty sure they dont have a suitable place for an actual club meeting. So for the meeting part, we would have to conduct that elsewhere beforehand.
