I forgot to delete the Craiglist ad for the Cutlass when I put it in storage at Jamie's.   Now there is a guy in NY really interested in it!  We even agreed on a price and he's thinking about it but I'll have to get a hold of Jamie and see if it would even be possible to get at it.confuse

Just have him write you a personal check and tell him to come get it in the Spring. The check should clear by then.....wink

Your going to be on Jamies Crap list. Maybe it's close to the door.

Jamie said there is 1 car in front of it so it will not be to bad to get at. If the guy who is parked in front left the keys in it. If no keys well that is another story, inform the buyer it is in storage and if he desires he can leave it there until spring.

We'll see what happens. He was going to think about it some more and check on the logistics further.

Jack up and put the "offending" car on some scooters and roll it out of the way... They're only about $60 a pair at Northern or Harbor Freight. (Then sell 'em to Jamie for $100 - I'm sure he can use them)

He'll probably change his mind when he gets a transport quote.

I was at Jamies last saturday morning to put my Tahoe in for the winter before the club meeting. Although, didnt notice your car, Dave is right there was plenty of room to move vehicles around so it shouldnt be too tough.

Good luck on the sale, I know you have been really wanting to sell it.

I have a set of the wheel jacks, you slide around the wheels and they jack up each wheel and then you can push the entire car around.  I only live a mile from Jamie's let me know if you need to borrow them, I might be able to even meet you there if needed.

confuse.gifThe guy finally called me back Tuesday afternoon. He could only come up with $600 less than what we agreed upon and wanted to pick up the car and drive it home to Rochester NY the weekend before Christmas. That arrangement wasn't satisfactory but he has until spring to come up with more cash and the car is out of storage. Money issue aside I couldn't beleive he wanted to attempt the drive! I don't think he understood what I was saying about it being cold blooded and traction limited so winter driving would be a very bad experience!

If he is on the main hwy and freeways it should ok, if he has to drive through a blizzard he may have a little problem. As far as cold blooded goes once it runs for about an hour it should have all the heat in the engine it needs. He could always stick a 195 stat in or cardboard in front of the radiator for the freeway portion.

I won't be selling for the amount of money he came up with so the drive is a moot point anyway.

Update time. Hope I don't jinx anything. The guy saved up the rest of the money we agreed on and has booked a one way flight. If all goes according to plan I will hopefully get the Chevelle back on the road in time for Car Craft.
