Need time to decompress. Holy cow. I had a blast, and it's somethign to see, but I don't think I could do it every year. Since it's aimed at the business-to-business crowd, there's a lot that just doesn't interest the regular guy.
I did meet a few Team Chevelle guys, chatted with Scott P, and worked on a deal with Metro Moulded Parts to host a meeting.
Pics and stuff coming later this weekend.

After 13 years of going, it's cool for me to see local pals who aren't industry guys. It's almost all 'work' for me out there, and just being able to hang out and BS with ya was a treat. I'm looking forward to the pics!
It was a good time for me too. Met a TC guy from indiana on Friday am who has a silver 66 and was in the Optima deal.
BTW, I got to meet Rowdy on Thursday night. Really nice guy, really rowdy car. I heard it before I saw it which was on the strip where he picked me up. We cruised north on the strip for a bit, then jumped on the highway and sped up to a side access area to Freemont street. All I can say is he (ab)uses that 540 to it's full mid-10 potential EVERYWHERE. We picked up another guy and cruised around finally stopping at Hogs and Heifers for a beer. Coming back, we had to make a quick drop off, then back up the strip. It drew more attention than a ferrari would.
total blast. The pics are not anywhere near good quality, but good enough to get the idea and generate memories. Too many people wandering into the shot or bad lighting, but I will get to them tomorrow. I ahve a decent shot of Rowdy's car which I already put on facebook if you look me up on there.

Oh yeah Scott, thanks for the heads up on checking out that manifold. It looked really cool. I'll mention it in the Nov newsletter with a quick blurb, then we can wait for someone to real world test it and write it up.....

I think I might be the first guy to 'real world test' it at all!
My pal at AFR said he would send me their production prototype as soon as they were done with their in-house testing on it. They'd like a story to hit as soon as it becomes available on the market, so I'd have to get the comparison testing done ahead of time. Pretty cool!! I can't wait. Having an intake that you can swap from dual-plane to single-plane without having to swap gaskets or even drain coolant for is pretty slick!
Man wish I knew who you were, I would have met up with you too. :)
I agree...! I'm sorry we haven't met. At least not yet...
I'm planning on making a splash at Car Craft, so if I don't have the chance to meet you before then, let's make a point to meet there, okay? My wagon isn't hard to spot.

You know, I didn't even think about it, but Chris Cabe had mentioned you were going (back when I worked with him). Slipped my mind, but yeah, would have been cool to meet up.

Not me. I kinda met you one day at Anoka, I think you had just picked up a rear bench seat from Rick. Also saw you at Car Craft when you were pulling into the start-stop area in the mushrat. I was there taking pics of Derek's car. By physical description, we'd be almost twins.
I'd atch out for Scott, he's kinda wiry.
