I have had computer trouble for a while now and the ONLY site I can't access is these forums. I'm really irritated that no one can figure out what happened.
Anyway, I'm on my wife's lap top, which sucks, but I wanted to post some pics of the car I bought last week. It's still in Florida and won't leave until tomorrow evening. It will be here Saturday night.







It's a real 138 car. Driver that needs a lot of work and trim parts. Factory A/C and a 3 speed console manual trans.  Now has a '90 454 and unknown 4 speed.

Cool Mitch.  What are you going to do to it?  Does this mean the end of the GTO and the '70 Chevelle and the Camaro projects....? biggrin

I may have to sell the GTO when it is far enough along to be a roller. I don't think I could sell it as is and get enough for it. I would actually like to keep and finish it too. No plans to sell any of the bowties. I waited and wanted them for tooooooo long to sell them. I'll probably be 90 before they are all done....wink

My next purchase will be another 4 post hoist for storage. I'm out of room....

9o! How old are you now?  That's quite an inventory Mitch, you gota save the GTO.

And I was worried because I still have your POA valve. Not looking like your going to need that this year.

It's one I've wanted for many years but couldn't find one I could afford. The GTO was an alternative at the time. They both have the coved rear window and are long and low, but the yearning for the Chevelle never went away.

Well, the car got here Saturday afternoon. I expected it to be less than described so I wouldn't be disappointed. I still am a little as it is rustier than he led me to believe. It is a good platform to start from and will be an easier restoration than my GTO (what wouldn't be..) but it has safet inspection stickers on the windshield fro 11 years from IOWA. I knew it was too rusty to have been in the south it's whole life but the seller never mentio ned the stickers in our conversations.
I did get both quarter skins, left fender patch, left door shell, 7 piece trunk floor kit and a core support with it so it reduces my aqctual cost of the car by 1k.
It has a 1993 Gen V 4 bolt main 454 truck engine in it that does run but sounds tired. It will be a good core to build up.
I also cut out a section of the rusty trunk floor and found the partial VIN stamp on the frame.  It DOES match the door pillar VIN, so I know it's a real SS car !
I took more pics of it in my driveway but it looks the same as the pics already posted. I'm working on getting a whole set of different wheels and tires on it this week, so I'll use the wifes lap top again to post new pics with the wheels on it.
