Hoping some of you would be interested in going out to race this coming Sunday. Weather looks perfect at this point.

If anyone shows up, I have a blue 70 Monte and my cousin will have his Candy Wine 68 GTO.

Yeah,  I got one run in just before 10, (11.7@116) then blew out my rear end right off the line on the 2nd pass.  Knocked 5 teeth off the ring gear.  Also must have broken a snap ring inside the trans, so I have that pulled out now too.  Going to tear it apart and make sure it didn't break anything else.  I'm shooting to make it on the 16th, but I sent in my converter for a reflash and ordered a new full billet 200-4R.  Rear end is already fixed. If the parts are all here by the 14th or 15th, I'll have it at the strip that weekend. (pending no problems)

Just saw your top post, I know your car now.  Open engined, black primer, a cool car. Your daughter is blonde? and the GTO is a 4 speed, runs around 12 flat?  I parked near you guys a couple times earlier in the year, always right by the main stands/fence.  I was way down towards the middle of the track that last time, and with all the problems, wasn't doing much bs'ing with people.

Anyways, I'll say hi next time I see you guys. This is the car I run:

Yeah, that was me.  What happend is the ring and pinion broke, must have been in the burnout pit and I didn't know it.  When I took off at the lights, a piece of gear was in the teeth.  Full throttle, 500+ ft lbs of torque, and a locked up dif was enough to blow the rear sprag in the transmission too.  I got a new full billet trans built at the same time I had the old one rebuilt.  So now I have a new trans and a spare one that was just freshened up.

So if anyone wants a just rebuilt 200-4r from Bowtieoverdrives.com (stage 3) let me know. I'll give you a great deal.  I'm going to run the full billet one now that's rated for 9 sec et's.

I'm planning on getting out there this weekend, but I'm sure I'll run into you next year...

Winston, I sent you a PM on the 200-4R.
