Looking for advise about building more HP. I have a 502, 502    Would like to add a 100 or 150 to it, can I change the cam, and have the heads reworked to get what I'm looking for without going crazy and buying new heads and spending lots of money ?? anyone have a 572 and would like to down grade, probably not ??

LOL!

It depends what you want to upgrade. A well-designed solid roller will step it up. So will upping the compression a little, or having the heads ported a bit. Doing all of the above will really wake it up.

I have done a lot of work with TPI Specialties in Chaska. www.tpis.com

I would highly recommend their work. It'd be worth a phone call. Tell them Scott Parkhurst sent you over.

Nitrous would be the cheapest option. Otherwise I agree with scott it is going to be head porting and a cam change to get there. I know of a 496 making 700 horse with oval port heads and a solid roller cam with about 11 to 1 compression ratio. It is not a very street able motor though. Might keep that in mind of how far you want to be able to drive it.
