At least for those of you that are bringing cars down. You are going to need to at least start figuring out whom is bringing a car so we can get an estimate for parking spots.

I'll be there but with the Cutlass so you don't need to add me to the Chevelle parking spot count. Hopefully I'll find a new owner this summer for the Cutlass so that the Chevelle makes it next year!

I need to add too that we can block off only so many spaces. As long as we have a good headcount, no big deal. Once the show opens, after about 10, they expect all saved spots to be released. Now, we can park a little wider than necessary, and maybe more at an angle to keep space taken up, but we need to know how many people total.

thanks

I plan on going Friday and Saturday,  no car though. I took it in for paint in March so it could be done for Car Craft and it is not going to happen. I will be lucky at this point to be able to drive it this year. My body man has been swamped with collision work and has not touched my car for a couple of months now.

That's why it's nicknamed "body shop jail" right? That's too bad, it's really the only show I look forward to each year myself, though the cruises are fun, it's a lot of the same people each week.

Yes, I was really looking forward to having my car at Car Craft this year? I have high hopes that it will make there next year.

So I get 8 in this post pending, John D and Craig. Which I recall both mentioned they plan on attending. If thats the case, I get 8 so far. I believe Terry mentioned at the last meeting he was at, he was also planning to attend. With my last post count including 67SS being there with his Camaro. I come up with 8 members. Someone should get in contact with Terry and see if he plans on attending for sure.

Are you planning to attend also Stan? That gives us a current count of 9.

NOTE:
The key here is for those that plan to park with us. You have to be registered by saturday morning. Saturday morning is quite busy, so members typically get in line as early as 4AM. Yes, 4 o'clock in the morning Saturday morning. However, gates do not open until 6 or 7am. By that time, there is a line over a mile long and it can take hours to not only get into the fairgrounds with your car, you now have to stand in line to pick up your registration credentials (goodie bag with window sticker and what not). This in turn leaves you not able to get to our parking spot until hours later, I have heard some have waited until 6am to get to the show Saturday morning to pick up thier stuff and get parked and by then it was well past 10AM.

So with that said. For those that have never parked with us before. Its best to pick up your registration/credentials on Friday. I believe some have said they were letting you pick them up on Thursday.

The whole reasoning for this is what Bryan touched on. We have to take down the ropes by 10am.

I deleted my post about 67SS, he'll be there, but he's already committed to parking with some family and friends for this year. Most likely, it won't be too far from us.

I'm getting excited. Gonna wash and vacuum my car tomorrow. Not much else I can do to make it look better. Put the ez-up in and a table, chair, make space for a cooler maybe.

I remember Craig mention helping us out in setting up our spot this year. Anyone able to contact him to confirm that? He is going to need to know some info on where to set us up at since this is his first time helping us out with this. Perhaps we can get the eazy up to him before hand?

I think I can get the EZ up into my car, I will be trying tomorrow and figure out something else if it won't go.

I'll be there all 3 days.

Brian - Bring the EZ-up to work one day, then drop it off at my house on your way home. I'm only a few blocks off 169 & 394. I can get it to CC in the Elky. If the table isn't an 8 footer, I could haul that too.

I've been talking to Craig about the prep. We both plan on picking up credentials sometime Thursday afternoon, and will try and figure out if we can meet there and set up our parking area after picking up our stuff. He has cones & caution tape. I'll print up a dozen or so sheets with our logo on it to hang on the cones & tape.

We're going to shoot for mid-block south to the dyno exit, on the east side of Cooper... just a little south of where we were last year.

Regarding the clubs banner. We should probably put a sticker over the year change and show we are now open to 1987.

EZ up is in my car already. I don't have a good way to get it to work-my DD is smaller. I can fit a table in there too I believe, they're 4' folders.

As long as we get space, I'm cool with wherever. That's really my only concern over this whole deal is enough parking for everyone who says they will be there plus a little cushion.

I will be getting my creds on friday evening. I'm off @ 3:30, but getting there is diagonal for me. bringing my DD anyway, might slide in for a short bit just to find the space, say hi, then leave.

I'll be there- the wagon won't.

The engine is almost done, but it just ain't gonna be installed and running by CC.

See ya'll there - but I'll feel goofy without my wagon.

Tony (& others)...

Go to the Club website, and on the home page there's a clickable link to a fairgrounds map. I've put a couple of "bubbles" on it showing our potential site, and the line-up road.

Check 6 posts previous...

7/12 - just re-confirmed with Craig about Thursday, and it's all set up. He is definetely going to be there early afternoon, and is meeting up with some members of the other Club (that also want the east side of Cooper St.) to set up/block off our spots.

My work schedule at the moment is controlled by a oijja board - don't know if I can break away Thursday to help...
