1959 vs 2009 Impala crash test	Permalink

At the meeting last night, this video came up. If you haven't seen it, here's your chance. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety conducted a unique crash test to demonstrate the advances in motor vehicle safety over the last 50 years. In this test, a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu and a 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air are both going 40 mph and the vehicles collide offset, driver side to driver side. Safety has come a long way no doubt.. I wonder if the 50 years of rust flying off the 59 hindered its performance some __________________ You can sleep in your car, But you cant drive your house

Ive seen that before. Its too bad they had to wreck a 59 just to show how far crash safety has become. I figured that would have been obvious. __________________ Chris - Ramsey, MN.
