Any ideas on how to correct this?

Should be obvious wants wrong.  I need to rotate the oil fill tube a bit.  Don’t want to damage the chrome.  I taped it up and tried to use a large chanel lock pliers.  No luck.  Wonder what your thoughts would be?  Need to rotate it about 30*.

Is it just pressed in, or is there any evidence that someone used epoxy or something to keep it from moving?

If pressed in, I'd think you could wiggle it back and forth enough to pull it out. If held in with anything, you'll probably damage the tube getting it out.

I doubt it will rotate in there without damage. I think remove and reinstall is your best bet.

Could you get a 45 degree elbow instead of messing with the tube?

I pulled, rotated with one rubber mallet, tapped with the other And it came out.  Looks like builder put a little black RTV in there.  I think a 3’ piece of oak that just fits inside the tube might be the way ro go.
