I never knew about these. Serious heavy duty truck and industrial engines.

This is a really neat video. Unfortunately the audio quality is poor, but on the positive side, the "reporter" seems to actually be knowledgeable about engines & machining.

Hall-Scott made 2-speed rear axles for Model Ts in the late-teens. They sold the design to Glover Ruckstell early on, but continued building them for Ruckstell for several years. I have 2 of them, one in my T and one set aside for a project.
