It came off a friends car and that is what it is so referenced it is all. Doubt SS was unique Stan but there are numbers and letters stamped on the raised parts between the holes. The rubber and air inside aren’t original so you probably don’t want to hang in that new garage of yours but I’d gladly pass it on so you can research. :)

Sounds like a 14"x5" from somewhere 60-70s. Kelsey Hayes rim. Any stamps on the rim would probably indicate Kelsey Hayes. If its a 14x6, I would like it Mike. What are the stamps by the nubs in the center of the Rim. Also probably a stamp by the Valve Stem Hole? A photo of the rim would tell me more.
I believe that it is a 14x5 Jim but I'll tell you the stampings anyway. One has GM with 65 under it facing outwards, another has NT facing outwards and a 3rd has a 5 facing inwards. Stamped by the valve stem is the letter A.
Those are the standard 14x5 rims, one center section was made at the kelsey hayes plant that went into production in 1965. The other rim with the center section was made by Norris Technologies in CA. NT center sections are generally a little different then the Kelsey Hayses rim. Not sure about a 5 stamped on the center section. The A stamp is for the backspacing I think means a offset of 0.00 or backspace of 3.5".
