Going through on my way back from AZ and BJ, kooks like it’s reasonable compared to the Auction.

Looks like an older restoration from the underside, and a couple of head scratcher's on the silver around the turn signal circles (could have been painted by mistake), and shouldn't a '70 SS have the SS badges on the door panels?  They would in '71-72.

They should have taken it to BJ last weekend and they might have gotten almost $90K. laughing

Malibu emblems are correct on the door panel of an SS454 car. Only the SS396 cars got the SS emblems there.

*edit* 1970 models only

I can go home now, I learned something today.  Thanks Derek.  beers

Those '70's have a lot of one year only stuff, including too many headlights.  razz

Not only the turn signals but the Hi beam and park circles should not be silver. The "WASHER WIPER" should be silver, the tach is not original.

As for the emblems I did see one car said to be an LS6 car that had the Malibu emblems, the owner said they come on LS6 cars only. My car cam with SS emblems,  read about it in Chevelle Stuff but don't recall exactly the reason for using the Malibu emblem, don't think it was specific to a particular engine, maybe one assembly plant ran out of the SS.

Is there a build sheet?

This car has a 3 line fuel pump, thought that was only A/C cars. The cover over the heater core doesn't look quit right, could the car been converted?
