Anyone know a good painter?

Can someone recommend one or two painters they've used in the past?

My current painter has blown me off now for the 4th week in a row and my car is in the same condition it was 5 weeks ago.... I have to imagine that a small factor involved is that he owes me money.

I only have a fender to touch up along with some small alignment, but I also want to get some quotes on some other projects including an eventual full paint job.

I'm located in Western Minneapolis near 394 and Highway 100. Referral somewhat close to me will be much appreciated.

I do have a brand new Fender as the attached picture shows a botched  patch job from my current guy.

In a perfect world I'd like the paint to be done in time for Nationals.

Thanks,

Andrew K

Van of Vanz auto was at my tech session. He has two painters he highly recommends. I have seen their work, and it is nice.

Its a bit of a haul but several club members have had good luck with a Maaco shop in the Farmington/Rosemont area that prides themselves on doing quality work on classic cars and the price is quite reasonable.

i think it may be the one in Burnsville you are referring to. They did Stan's convertible a few years ago, I have used them and also sent family there. Would recommend them for the fender. They are on my short list when my 71 is finally ready.

Maaco in Burnsville will do good work.  But...no way you will get it done in two weeks.

For the resto work, they usually only do a couple of cars during the winter/early spring months.

I'd give them a call though and tell them Stan, Tom, and Kevin sent you.  We all had full car paint done there that turned out great.

I had two cars done at Maaco Burnsville and I was pleased with both, very affordable. Timing can depend on their workload. But you won‘t unless you call them

That's where it was, Burnsville.cuckoo I don't know why I felt it was over on Rosemont or Farmington. Been many years since I was there and that was indeed a spring day and I would have never thought a Maaco shop would look like that, several classic cars in various stages of work. I know several have won best paint awards with the work that shop did.

The Maaco shop on Osborne Road in Fridley has also done some show-quality work.
