Trying to convince my old man that he will need this for one of his projects. It has been on there for a month, hopefully he would come down in price some. I know these are getting harder to find. He says it came out of an 82 Oldsmobile. Miles unknown. Seem like a good deal, or pass?

That has BOP bellhousing pattern only. That one will not fit a chevy engine.

Noted, what years did they make it so the bell housing was compatible with all GM?

I don't know if there was a specific year range. My guess would probably be more starting around 84 that they have the multi bellhousing.

The guy tried arguing with me that it would fit a Chevy. He sent me a picture of the bellhousing, and it is definitely a BOP. If he was willing to let it go cheap, thoughts on the adapter plate to mate it up to a chevy. Dad wouldn't be looking at making any crazy H.P. numbers.
