Here are the pics I took from the show for those that could not attend.  It was actually pretty empty, but as usually some crazy nice cars including some Northstar members.  One of my favorites was the non-restored original Daytona Winged Hemi.  Original owner.  Amazing.  Can't imagine what it was worth!  4 speed to boot.t__MG_1341.JPGt__MG_1343.JPGt__MG_1344.JPGt__MG_1345.JPG

Nice pictures! I assume the lady leaning on the rear quarter panel of the Hemi Daytona is the owner.

If she's the owner, then it's no longer a 1-owner car... She's the wife of the Mopar collector/dealer formerly in Elkton MN.
Their son is sitting in the chair behind the car as well.

They're back into the big-money Mopar game again.

Interesting. What exactly was the deal with those guys again? I heard there was a lot of fraudulent dealings and quite a bit of drama over that place.

I didn't stop to find out.  No for sale signs to speak of.  Still a cool car even if they stole it or lied about one owner on their sign....

I'd guess if Fred owns it now, he hasn't tranferred the title (not necessary if you're a dealer) so he can still call it "one owner" just like any car dealer does with a late model trade-in.

And the the title may never get transferred.   juggle.gif

Cool pics Tom!  thumbsup  Perfect lighting too with the overcast sky.

Thanks for going.  It was worth making time to do it.

Google "FRED ENGLEHART ELKTON MN" if you are interested in reading more about his difficulties with the legal system.

I didn't know that he was back in business. I wonder if he'll have a harder time finding people to work with him on some of those high-dollar MOPARS. It would be nice if he would be doing his car shows again. In addition to "local" street cars, he was able to attract some very nice former race cars. I wonder if he had to pay those people to bring those cars to his shows.

He paid the famous racers to show up and sign autographs, but the majority of the cars were brought in by other collectors for free.

I miss that show... made it to every single one of them, including the first year when it was about 20 cars parked on main street.

Several years ago (shortly before things blew up for Englehart), Pat Reusse did a writeup in the Minneapolis paper on Fred and his business. Of course, that was a little surprising since Pat doesn't pay much attention to motorsports. To be fair, he does talk a little about NASCAR prior to the Daytona 500 on his "Sportstalk" radio show. For whatever reason, I still remember that one of the pictures in the newspaper article was of a Hemi Dart parked outside of his shop.
