FYI, No Anoka Cruise this Saturday

As if the weather hasn't allowed it to happen enough already, the 4th is a non-cruise/show weekend in Anoka.

Oops, I mis-read something. A lot of people are skipping Anoka and going to the Coon Rapids festival show (on grass) at Sand Creek park. I did it last year and it was pretty cool. Beer tent, food, carnival stuff, all on their ball fields.

info:

"CAR SHOW TO REMEMBER"

5:00 PM TO 11:00 PM

SAND CREEK PARK LOCATED AT NORTHDALE BOULEVARD APPROXIMATELY 1/2 MILE EAST OF HANSON BOULEVARD
GATE FEE: $5.00 DONATION

ALL PROCEEDS DONATED TO ACBC FOOD SHELF

Does it cost anything for spectators?

No, I believe it's free. Parking might be a little scarce with the carnival, but it's a huge park. Not a ton of cars, but a much nicer place to be vs the pavement.

Well it was certainly a packed house at Anoka tonight.

I didn't make it to either. Had plans that busted, then spent the evening in the garage converting a factory console harness to work with my new shifter and console. Had to futz with the console and do a little more trimming, plus add a spot for the 12V receptacle.
