3" of rain in the gauge-What did you get?

Woke up to 3" in the rain gauge this a.m.  Had T Storms all night long...  Gonna need a nap today.  Maybe when we go to a movie this afternoon since it's supposed to do this all day.

Glad our house is built on an old gravel pit development for drainage!  We have a sump bucket, but no pump in it as it's been dry for the 7 years we lived here (17 year old home), and the prior owner never installed one either.

We got pretty wet, but not inside. My lowest level is completely below ground but haven't heard a sump pump ever. I assume I have one but haven't looked.

I did have a leak into the garage that developed after the snow thawed. It was coming down the back garage side of the wall between the 2. Went into the rafters and it was a slight stream coming down between the edges of 2 sheathing sheets. Looks like snow must have pushed up the siding's J-channel on the roof and with the addition's roofline set lower than the original, excess coming down must have snuk under the J and down the sheathing. On a heavy rain it was only barely covering the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket, but still it's a leak.

Last weekend I went up and caulked the entire length of that roofline as well as a break in the fascia piece at the original roofline. Took 3 tubes and it's not goobered on. After yesterdays rain, I am leak free. That was my only trip into the garage rafters, but I do plan on adding a little sheeting for simple and lightweight storage up there. Bad thing is it's almost too high for my ladder. (might have to look into a pull down.
