IF Friendly wanted to put on a show this year, are there 5 people that would volunteer to help make this happen from start to finish? We would have the parking lot as always, but would be starting from scratch in a way. This would only be Northstar Club and not MSMA. We also would not call it Automania which is by choice, but that's not a big deal.
bear in mind:
there is no date yet
we would have to run it completely including flyer creation and distribution at shows
we would have to line up food vendors
we would have to line up sponsors (which basically covered trophys and porta-pottys)
we would need people: 1 at gate, 2 at table, 2 to help park--then rotate through the day)
we can make any changes we see fit, so long as it falls into the basic criteria of: legal, safe, family friendly, not detrimental to Friendly Chev's business or customers.
I'm fine either way, it's a lot of work and I'm not shy in saying I will be relying on you to get it done. I'm already overcommitted as it is. I have a good structure and contacts, but no extra time.

I'd like to say I can help but it totally depends on the date! I've never made it to one of these shows because something has always overlapped the date. I really want to go, and help, depending on when it is.
Last conversation I recall the club having about the topic is that the revenue generated was too minimal to justify the work and that was considering mother nature cooperated the day of the show and it could be a financial loss if the weather did not cooperate.
Correct Jon, I will say that regardless of turnout we have always set it up to come away on the positive side of the books before any cars have paid. In my mind, that's the only way to make it happen. vendor contracts (all prepaid) were written as it being a rain or shine event. We have been lucky, but it has also come within hours of rain either before or after twice.
This would most likely not have any vendors and limited (if any) sponsors to help offset costs, nor would there be another club to share (profits or workload).
