We are looking to change internet service and we are strongly considering Xfinity. We currently use the phone company, Quest as the used to be called but now I guess they call themselves Centurylink. My main concern is if Xfinity has good customer service, which I believe is part of the cable company. Cable companies are known for having poor customer service. Anyone using them for thier internet service?

We have had Comcast before it was Xfinity. We had DirecTv before and Comcast before that. It's OK. The internet service hasn't been an issue, the phone we don't use but it was cheaper to pay for the land line in the bundle than just cable and internet alone. The cable portion is fine, the occasional issue comes up about once per year. We've had the underground line replaced 2 years ago (free) as well as one of the digital boxes replaced about 3-4 months ago (free). Aside from that, the service is fine. We have 1 main unscramble box plus 4 basic boxes (you need a basic box to get anything now, including local channels). Our newest TV is a smaller flatscreen bought around 2005. Their on-demand selection of free movies is OK, nothing that made it in the box offices, but they have it as PPV for $3-5 usually, and that's where the b movies are. Lots of TV shows on free on-demand, depending on your tastes it's OK.

We have phone and internet with no issues. I think their tv service cost is outrageous so we do Dish for tv service.
I didn't clarify but this is exactly what we have right now. Dish for tv service and looking to pick up the Xfinity for our internet service. As of last Friday, we dumped our land line since it just made no sense to have it anymore because of our cell phone service. No way we would consider getting rid of Dish for Comcast but for internet, ill gladly consider it.
