Anybody going to watch R U Faster than a Redneck on Speed TV?

Starts tonight:

http://www.speedtv.com/programs/r-u-faster-than-a-redneck/

Basic idea is a 1 mile road race course pitting an import car against pro touring muscle cars.  The Year One guys and cars are a part of it.  May be a snoozer, but could be fun to watch.

The guy that used to do the 'That thing got a Hemi?' ads is the host.

I've been watching, since I too have had beers with many of the participants. Some of the better Pro-Touring cars and drivers in the country are hidden among the 'Redneck' cars.

It's cool, but I don't know if it'll catch on. I hope it does because I like it.

The only thing that bugs me is how someone has to lose for the import driver to get a shot at the 10 grand. So...no matter what, the second round is cursed. I mean faked. That ****es me off.

What pi$$es me off is that I don't have the Speed channel so I can't even watch it.

Don't get too upset Bryan, you're not missing much. I've seen one episode, and seemed kinda fake or set-up to me.

Well you wont have to worry about it soon. A few weeks ago, Fox, Speed Channels parent company announced that Speed will become Fox Sports 1. It wont be strictly a motorsports channel either. Thier plan is to include all sports on the new channel. IMO, The only good shows left were Stacy Davids Gearz and My Classic Car.

I've watched a few episodes, some nice cars and close racing.  I can't stand Mr. "That thing got a hemi" so I usually end up pulling for the imports.  The other night an Audi wagon won the 10 grand against a mustang.  They were really getting after it.

Found it on Youtube:
