What are the specs on your current suspension setup, and what spindles did you buy?

I want to lower the ride height on my convertible.  Lowering the air ride when it's parked is fine but when I put enough air in it to get a comfortable ride it sits to high and the angle drive shaft angle isn't quite right.

I bought 2" drop spindles for the front but not sure what to do with the back end.  Any recommendations?

Thanks,

Rick

Rick,

I would suggest using Hotchkiss, Global West, or Eibach 2" lowering springs for the rear.

I installed the Summit Racing 2" lowering springs on mine, and it was too low, so I added aluminum spacers to get it to the ride height that I like.

I'm sure some of the other guys will have further input on suspension options.

Do you have a full air ride kit in the car or just some air bags to lower and raise the car?

Mine is as low as it can get and still work well. I went through S.C. & C. to get it right...www.scandc.com

The rear springs were designed for lowered pickups .. I got them from Performance Online. The lower control arms are almost level...but not quite.

Adjustable shocks help a lot. You get the ride just the way you want it once the stance is perfect. I used QA1 coil overs on the front. They are adjustable so you can put it where you want it, height wise. Mine are set as low as I can get them...

I appreciate the help and am sorry I couldn't respond until now. I went back to work full time and Mondays and Tuesdays I work bell-to-bell so tonight is the 1st chance I've had to respond.

I do have the full air ride system and am tempted to do away with it. The problem is if I had fixed system set as low as I have mine when it's parked I would be scraping the bumpers when I drove it.

I'm leaning towards the 4 link rather than doing anymore with the stock suspension.

Thanks again!

Rick
