Stackable washer and dryer opinions.

Wifey likes ours. I like that the washer only uses the minimum amount of water for the job. Senses the size of the load.

Any of you guys own a stackable washer and dryer and have any opinions about them. Good? Bad?

We have one and like it; takes up ½ the space. Repairmen don’t want to work on them; get the long term warranty contract.

Our laundry room is small... and we wanted to put a fridge in there too, so we went with stackables, and it's worked out great going on 6 years now.  I think we bought them at Appliancesmart and they are Frigidare brand.

I too like the low use of water, and the gas dryer seems very efficient and doesn't run much since the front load washing machine spins most of the water out of the clothes during the washing cycles.

Only issue is sometimes the front load washers can develop a smell from some water pooling in them, and there is a treatment you can run through once in awhile.

We have Frigidaire and bought them at ApplianceSmart as well.  Great minds think alike.  :)

Our washer has a sanitize cycle that runs periodically to keep it clean and odor free.
