no, but if your car is a later '72 it could be an 8.5".

Look for the squared corner nubs on the bottom of the housing.

Are they interchangeable?  I found a used 8.5" ring gear posi for $200, but I'm pretty sure I have an 8.2" ring gear in my 10 bolt, so I'm guessing they won't work together.

Anyone know?

Thanks Derek.  I've looked at those ID pictures before, but mine has the center picture 8.5" cover but not the nubs/square lugs on the bottom.  The bottom on mine looks like the left 8.2" picture.

I suppose I should remove 40 years of crud and find the axle numbers to really know...

Also stay away from the 8.5 posi's that came in the truck. The gov lock setup they use is not very strong.
