WANTED: V8 for son's 81 Chev truck

I am a little surprised there is nothing around, CL only has a few as well but who wants to be an engine with a "little" rod knock?

What price range are you looking at? Don't really need parts.

I have a couple of Gen I 350 sbc engines.

One is a stock bore cleaned up and re-ringed with new cam/rod/main bearings with used vortec heads / new intake combo but have not fired up.

The other is an in process rebuild. I pulled it from my elky (.040 over 350 with the cross hatching still present on the bores) and was going to replace the freeze plugs and head swap....from there I tore it down all the way as I planned on replacing the pistons for a better quench for vortec heads/intake and adding a 268 range cam...mission creep.

I also have a 327 but that was setup for manual.

John I may have interest in this for my chevelle if you want to sell it. Can you give me more details about it.

We were hoping to find an inexpensive complete running complete engine that we canjust drop in to replace his 250 6-cylinder that is having problems. Thanks for the note John!
