Yikes, the approaching line of thunderstorms are on a line moving east that extends from southern Canada south to central Nebraska about 650 miles long. Very impressive, looks like we’re in for a blow.

Good news, this system should bring some cooler weather.

I'll take the cooler weather.

My garage gets about 10 degree hotter in the afternoon than the air...sorta demotivates me.

Ill tell you what. Thanks to these storms, its turned today into probably the absolute nicest day we have had since last spring. I cant remember the last time the humidity was this low since the snow melted. Things just sound wierd without the hum of an air conditioner running.

Yeah, heat's been bugging me quite a bit too. Nothing too eventful in the garage and not too many house projects either. Basically, I mow and weedwack, then cool off the rest of the day. I have spent more time in the pool than the past few year added together. I'm not in the worst of it at work, but I spend the first couple hours in the upper area with all teh cardboard that's soaked up the heat. I bring a spare shirt just to wear until 7 when I open the parts counter up.

I really feel for the techs. Even the fans they use aren't that effective when they're blowing hot air onto hot vehicles.

I cant even imagine it. Ive dealt with some pretty hot days here and there during my time as an auto tech in the past, but they have usually only have been a few days at a time. Never can I recall having consistent day after day, week after week of nothing but one hot day after another like this. This summer has made me not regret one bit taking a loss in pay to start a new career. Even though its had me working outside for short periods of time cleaning condensers, no way I miss working in a shop for hours at a time. Good riddance to that environment.
