If he's accurate about the production number, that would make it a convertible.

For anyone who's interested.

Still for sale. According to an email from the seller, he also had a 66 convertible that he sold to a relative for $68,000 (pretty high, I would like to see that car if true). Probably just a typing error, I make lots of those. It is suppose to have a 4 sp, 12 bolt, and 396; but no mention if they are original or if he has a POP. If anyone is interested in a 66 ss, it would be worth a phone call or a look if they are close to Elk River.

Good morning Jim

I have owned this car since/ before I went into the Marine Corp

It is a true SS which means it has a Big block 396 and a 4 speed manual transmission with a 12 bolt positive traction rear end all there with many x-tra parts I did have two the other was a rag top and sold it for $68000. To a good friend of the family

The restore depends on how much cash you want to put into any project car
You can do alot or just enough to make look nice and a driver

Thank You
Jon
