Those with Company Trucks..

The GPS on the trucks was quickly replaced by GPS tracking on our company cellphones..
I guess It doesnt bother me that much.. Its their stuff and Ive never lied on a work report anyway...

Therefore, someone is going to snoop on what you’re up to in real time. However, wait a second, aren’t you the guy that installs, systems that keep an eye on everyone else?

Could this possibly mean some of those working mothers at those afternoon stops for a barley pop could experience financial declines in their future?

I had GPS tracking on the guys at the last company I was at. I never really used it much except to try and find the closest tech to handle emergency calls or to follow a few guys who I knew were slacking off (and their slacking came to the point my jobs were not meeting my bid hours so I was getting screamed at). IMO you look around your typical office and there is an amazing amount of slacking going on.

My new company is much smaller and the owners are pretty cool on just about anything from using the company tools and trucks on the weekends to doing a errand during the day as long as you run it past someone. No problems yet.

We have had the electronic babysitter on our vans for over a year now. No big deal.

It sends my manager an email when I leave the house, when I get home and if my speedo hits 80.

I guess if I am cheating the clock then I deserve to get caught and fired.

Once I got a text saying slow down it can wait another few minutes. I didn't read the text until I was in the customers lot since I don't text and drive. But that was the extent of it.

Like I said, with my company it's no big deal, hopefully yours will be the same.

When I did drive the company truck, I had a supervisor tell me to hurry up. I was glad to say sure you drive so I can see exactly how fast you would like me to go. I also pointed out 5 areas that the local police, the sheriffs, and highway patrol sat at night. He had no problem with telling me to speed but would not do it himself knowing that the speed traps were out there.
