I would think 8-10K isnt far off. Maybe even up to 12K if the body is as nice as it sounds.

Is there a motor in it? Is it a 138 VIN?

I have only seen the car in pictures. The picture he showed me today was the drivers side and it looks like there was some dings over the rear wheel well and drivers door that have been filled in with bondo. He admitted there was some body work done poorly buy the previous owner. you can see the pink color of the bondo. It has been repainted black with a original white interior

Sounds good considering no rust. Guy here near Hastings was $11000 for a 66 malibu convert in primer that needs total restoration. And probably lots of mistakes and rust under that primer.

Going off your description and the typical condition Calif cars usually are. If you can get it for 4-5 grand plus an extra grand or so to ship it back here. Your still money ahead.
