For those that know Bruce Tchida(sp). I ran into him last sunday at the swap meet and he (still) has a numbers matching 70 El Camino SS396/TH400 for sale. Its the Cranberry red color W/ black buckets and console and the optional tach dash/gauges. When I last seen it, it was unrestored and untouched as if it just came out of a barn. It even had the stock 70SS wheels still on it. The car is very rusty but comes with a rust free 71 parts car, and I mean rust free. Which oddly enough, was an SS454. The price was pretty cheap. 4 grand for all of it. The catch here is he has been sitting on these for a few years now and is tired of sitting on it so if someone doesnt jump on these soon. They will become parts. I think he said the end of this week. I personally dont want to see this happen to an original car and the price is very good considering what you will be getting.
I got his permission to extend his number to anyone that is intrested so if anyone knows of someone looking for a good project. Please call me or PM me and I will foreward you his contact info. I hope someone out there can rescue this car. I know I wish I could. 4 grand for a numbers matching big block car is not a bad deal these days.
