Any experts . I think I did everything correctly. The instructions say to hook ground screw on outlet to incoming line (power) ground wire, which I did. The question, I have a circuit running from the load terminal to another outlet, but instructions do not say what to do with that circuits ground wire. I have it hooked to the line wire ground(as that’s how the previous outlet was wired), is that wrong?? I wish the instructions said what to doi with that bare ground wire. Thanks

Sounds like you did it correctly.
To make things easier, I usually wire-nut the inbound & outbound grounds together in the box, with a short pigtail of ground wire. Then attach this pigtail to the GFIC grounding lug. Check your downstream outlet for proper ground connection as well.

Thanks John. Well it doesn’t work. The only thing is the instructions do not say to hook up the down string ground. Going to have to call an electrician.
