I'm thinking of going and would leave the south metro with the Chevelle around 2 p.m. for the 2 hour drive to Forest City, IA, then return by 9 p.m. if anyone is interested in joining a Chevelle caravan that I know Dan would look down and smile when he sees it. Weather permitting of course for driving the Chevelle.
Dan was a long time member of this club and someone I considered a good 'car friend', so happy to honor his life in this way. For a period of time, he was at more club events than some of the local members, and drove from Iowa many times in the summer and for the Bowtie brunch in Jan. to catch up with everyone. I was at the Des Moines Goodguys show last weekend and thought of him many times, as he was always telling me I should go to it. Derek, I'm guessing you and the crew at the GG Show hoisted a drink or two in his honor in the Des Moines motel parking lot!
