Highway 10 construction in Anoka starts tomorrow 4/29

FYI, for anyone planning cruises or coming to the Saturday night Anoka downtown cruise nights, There is a section of Highway 10 that is being rebuilt to eliminate the stop lights through the northwest corner of Anoka on highway 10. It starts just East of Round Lake Blvd and ends roughly at Sunfish Lake Blvd.Overall, it's a 2 year project, with a lot of the heavy burden this year.
In April, plan on several weekends of highway 10 being closed between 7th St and Ferry St (This is the exit to the Anoka fairgrounds).
There will be passage through, but the highway will be one lane in either direction all summer. This will probably affect you taking highway 169 into Anoka, and some of the back roads. Coon Rapids Blvd should not be affected, Main Street from Texas Roadhouse to Round Lake should be OK. On the north side, plan on Bunker Lake blvd from Hanson to Ramsey Blvd being the main detour.
