Possible locations for electric oil sensor on Chevy 350

I have been looking at gauges as I just have the lights. I want to keep those functioning. Water sensor will go in the drivers side head. Voltmeter will go to battery. That leaves the oil pressure sensor. I don't want some kind of mess around the rear block standard location. But maybe that’s the only location possible. Are there any other locations on a 350 block from 1976? If I have to go behind the distributor on the block, is there a good configuration to use where the idiot lights will function along with the new electric gauge?
I have been considering the Autometer gauges, it looks to run about $200 For the three with mounting bracket. Thanks.

I can't think of another location to tap into the oil pressure. There may be plugs at the front of the block, but then you'd have a wire running all the way to the back again. I have used a short, by close, brass nipple in the block with a brass T having the light sender standing up and the electric sender facing back towards the firewall as much as possible to be as un-noticable as possible.
Have you checked with Summit and Jegs for those gauges ? I think they may be a little less expensive with free shipping.

There should also be an oil pressure port just above the oil filter boss on the block.

I have looked at and Amazon along with autometer. Considering shipping etc price is about the same.
I have heard the plugs at the front of the block are not the best location and the one by the oil filter would seem to be more work than hooking both gauges to the boss at the rear of the block.

I have always used Mitch's method. It looks like it belongs there.

I have my gauge coming from the port at the distributor, but I also have a switch that is used at the port above the oil filter like Chris described. When the switch sees low oil pressure, the electric fuel pump won't work. Yes, at first start up after sitting it will crank a bit, but it also then doesn't run until there's good oil pressure.
I don't have a pic right now, but I'll grab one this weekend if I remember.

I found for a dual hook up of the oil gauges. https://www.ebay.com/itm/143840020029
