This car has been around a couple years, but I got to see it in person last week. It is absolutely magnificent. In the video he mentions a few things, but look at the door jambs, where the fenders meet the cowl, and the quarter to tail area. So many little things were changed.
Looking at it again, I think the extended rocker panels make it look fat in the middle, and that's what messes up the proportions to me.
The workmanship is outstanding though!

Im convinced that car was not entirely built by that shop. I distinctly remember a 65 with a 66/67 roof project being sold on Ebay around 2011 or so, as a half finished car professionally done, the auction included a artist rendering with it that matched the same color and stance. The timeline since that car sold via Ebay, leading to when this car debuted at SEMA that year makes it plausible. When I look at this car, it looks like a Chevelle & a Mopar had a child together but the craftsmanship under the hood is fantastic.

I would take the stock body Mist Blue car in the blink of an eye over the extremely modified blue car. Like others have said, it's too far out of proportion to be visually appealing to me as a 1965 Chevelle.

It's lost all its "chevelle-ness". Looks like a Dodge Challenger now.
The sportier looking 66-67 roofline works with 66-67 larger rear wheel openings, but not with the small openings of the 64-65 quarters.
