Tina and I drove down last weekend for the annual pilgrimage, and the show didn't disappoint even though it was just the MACC club show and not the Midwest Regionals for the midwest states (Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Iowa). There were just under 100 Chevelle's, El Camino's, and Sprint's there.
We didn't make it down in the Heavy Chevy due to some continuously frustrating pulley alignment and belt length issues after adding the AC compressor and replacement power steering brackets and basically just ran out of time, but gave it the try right up to 9 a.m. Friday morning when I finally threw in the towel and we jumped in the truck and headed down to KC since we had reservations at the best BBQ in the country! Place called Q39 that the beef brisket melts in your mouth!
Anyway, it was great reconnecting with the MACC folks even without a Chevelle.
Here's a few pics I took, including what Chris P.'s 66 would look like off the showroom floor.
Maybe I can talk a few of you into driving down with us next year, as I believe the Midwest Regionals will be hosted by the MACC club. Strength and pit crews in numbers. Lol
I'd like to go again, it's just that late Sept. is my wife's birthday and we take a week/end and go somewhere for it AND I'm usually so danged busy, trying to get things done before cold weather sets in. If they have a date set for next year, I'll write it on the new calendar and see if we can't make it.

I don't think the 2022 date is set, but it usually happens on the 3rd weekend in September, so 23rd and 24th 2022?
