Did my spring shake down ride the other day and the car is running good. I am thinking of checking out the Coor Rapids cruise tomorrow night, anyone going?

I'm going down to check out the QA-1 cruise in the morning. If that turns into a fiasco, I might go home and see about the CR cruise instead.

Mitch-Did you do the QA1 cruise? We took the 442 and ran into John D./Sheryl, Derek and family, Scott Parkhurst, and Kurt and his son from Owatonna so lined up together and did most of the cruise together (we got separated/lost towards the end thanks to GPS and cell phone coverage glitches). There were over 400 cars, and it was well managed I thought by releasing groups of cars instead of all at once. Awesome cruise route too with lots of twisty two lane backroads.
Jon-How was the cruise? By the time we got home around 4 p.m. from the QA1 cruise, we'd have enough cruising for the day so didn't go. Still want to go to CR sometime though.

Yes, Chris & Jenny met me at the DQ in Farmington at 10 and we drove over together. I needed to be home by 2 pm for a guy to look at my C10 for sale, so I left Lakeville around 12:45.
Wish we could have "run into" all you guys.
Yeah, 200 miles in 5 hours was enough for me too. I'll be looking to do the CR cruise in the near future. It made the TV news and looked crowded.

Chris S and myself ended going last minute. Lots of people and cars. If you like sitting in stop and go and moving 2 feet at a time you will like it. We ended up parking and just watching cars go by. Good news is i took my Chevelle down with Chris S following in case I had problem. Car worked great never overheated sitting in the traffic. But I have the Stan shake dilemma as my two front tires are flat spotted From sitting. Will have to get them replaced and put some more miles on it.

I went down on Saturday evening also. Got there about 6:30. It took me about 15 minute to get thru the first 2 stop lights from the South. I finally turned around and left.

We went also and had some of the same experiences. Going west was really slow but the return east was much faster. I was amazed at the number of spectators and cars that were parked observing. One thing for sure is that I say very few people were practicing social distancing. Groups around some of the major itersections were packed in pretty tight. Good news is the car ran well and the weather was perfect.

This was started as an alternative to there not being the weekly show in Anoka with the difference being anyone can come out & cruise no matter what they drive. Once you start getting the people that want to take the family car out just so they can cruise, the roads then become congested taking away any appeal for the collector car community to enjoy it. Same thing would happen at Porkys back in the day too. Big turnout this past Saturday but I heard tons of complaints of congestion going one direction but not the other, plus some of the newer cars doing burnouts & acting like fools. Speculation now is if/when this gets shut down due to the burnouts & crowds gathering along the road instead of maintaining social distancing like Jon mentions.

I might come up for it next weekend.
QA1 was a good time. We just missed you Mitch... Chris and Jenny met up with us as we pulled in to Subway at the truck stop, and said you had just left.
