I had a couple vacation days to burn up at work, and I'm losing access to Dad's paint booth in a month, so I decided this weekend was a good time to shoot the '55 and make it all one color. Cale helped scuff and mask it all, AJ helped wipe down, and Dad sprayed it.
A few areas where I lightly buffed the old laquer match unbelievably well... I need to buff the rest of the old paint but the match is great even though we didn't blend anything.

Good use of the time and booth access.

Yeah, Dad retired in January, but he's still renting the shop until April 30th so he can finish up some of his own projects while he also slowly cleans out the shop and brings stuff home. I'm really going to miss having access to a paint booth on the weekends.

He's a nice guy and I enjoyed meeting him long ago when I was picking up a seat for the Nomad that Carl has stored in this shed.
He gave me a tour of the place and saw his and some other cars that were there in the winter.

That would have been quite a while ago if he was still on the farm then. Dad moved to town about 8-9 years ago, and my older brother Chad moved to the farm.

Nice, that thing Is looking awesome. 55 is my favorite year of the trifive era. It should be fun to drive with what you were telling me at bow tie brunch. Hope to see it in person this summer.

I'll try it this way from my work PC... linking from FB is the only way I know how to do it from my phone.

Now you want to put it together and drive it, eh ?
I use Firefox for my browser and it has an fb container that blocks fb when it detects track ware. Must be why all I saw was numbers.

Yeah, the plan is to have it roadworthy by the end of summer. Dad wants to take it on his car club cruise in September.

I agree 55’s are probably my favorite for that style car. I really like that color it looks awesome. It sure is nice to have access to the right equipment And even more the right knowledge and experience. You’re lucky to have him.Looking forward to seeing pictures when it’s complete.
