My spot in Jeff Kleiner's queue is coming up. I need to get #9365 down to Indiana sometime after the 1st of the year. I don't have any specific dates yet.
Is there anyone out there that has a "reasonably" sized enclosed car hauler they'd like to rent for a few days?? Something that an average pickup truck can tow?
Or... suggestions on a Mpls area rental outfit that has decent trailers.
(My truck has a factory trailer brakes controller, and a Class III hitch).

Classic Auto showed us a cool enclosed trailer they use to transport and they rent out I believe.

I know it is out of the way, but I heard that M&G trailers in Ramsey rent enclosed trailers

Inver Grove Heights, couple miles south of the bowling banquet.
That looks like just what I need, and a great deal! Thanks for the tip!

Once you get a date, call and book it. They have 2 20' and 2 24' and they seem to be out a lot. I can see why, with the great rate.

I went to pick up the Grey trailer this afternoon and it got sold !!??
They rolled out a spankin' new one for me. Geez, I had to be the first to get tire tracks on the floor.
Nice trailer, but it really needs a load leveling hitch with sway control. The wind blew me all over the road on the way home. Hope it is better with the weight of the car in there.
Have a safe, fun drive.
Hope you can finally find "peace" with your paint.

Double those comments. Looks like the weather may cooperate.

Well, I made it back safe. Terry wasn't hopeful he could do much to improve the paint situation. As Karl pointed out, many of the imperfections are in the metal or block sanding. He'll see what he can do by block sanding the clear, but it won't ever be show quality. He will re-paint the entire interior the correct color and install the headliner. Also, paint the grille and headlight extensions the proper satin black and the top of the front splash guard Argent Silver. I'll have to see where it's at for cost along the way and maybe delete a few items ...

Budgets can be troublesome
Remember, There is no such thing as perfect.
Hopefully the "hug" it is about to recieve will get it closer to where you had envisioned.
I painted a lot of stuff, was never completely satisfied.
Almost re-blocked and reshot the Biscayne, laziness won out!
Both ElCaminos came out pretty well, They will still be "Drivers"
You drive your stuff, I don't see a "Garage, Trailer" Queen in your future.
Be proud of what you have accomplished on ALL your projects.

Mitch did you take it somewhere local? I saw your post about taking it to NC (North Carolina?) in May, so may have missed it somewhere on where you took it.

I took it to Virginia. I thought he lived in NC, but it's VA.
Quite the drive too. I turned it in 56 hours...2350 miles. The spooky part was, I was directly north of Nashville, in southern Indiana, when those tornadoes struck. I had some wild lightning, wind and rain too and could see the cell was very active south of me. No idea what happened until today.

Tamco paint is in Virginia. Did you bring it to one of their vendors Mitch?

I am looking into hauling my Chevelle to NC sometime in May and it would be cool if your car was done and could occupy a trailer on the way back.
John, I am renting this trailer this weekend. Very reasonable rate.

It's locked and cocked to leave in the morning.
