I think this might be true for other chevy models like nova, camaro, and impala etc. The upper area of the glove box on the left side is different than the right side to allow for the light kit. My old box is trash and I done't know if I am suppose to slit the upper left corner or if my old box is just torn in that area. There is a crease in that area of my new repo gox. Thanks

I should have added these earlier. There are crease marks where I think the top should be bent and a big crease on the left top about 1 1/2” which I think maybe should be cut.
