The 383 I dropped in runs hotter than the 350 I took out by a good 15-20 degrees. On a normal day without the AC running it stays pretty much at 185 to 190 degrees (185 degree stat). Now when I turn on the AC, it jumps up to 200 to 205 quickly and creeps beyond that if I'm stopped.
I currently have a stock 3 core radiator that is a little gunky inside even though I flushed it with a vinegar/water mix.
So, I'm considering replacing it with the 1 1/8 oval core aluminum one from ACC:
Denny will still honor the club 10% discount, so it would be $189 + tax, which I think is a good price.
Anyone use one of the ACC radiators before?

I have one in my '62 Impala with the 409 and it seems good.
I have another one for my '54, but it's still in the box, on the shelf...

I got one from them for my 53. I painted it with Eastwoods radiator black to make it look more original. I did have to redrill all eight mounting holes, but not a big deal. Seems to cool just as good as the original. I would recommend them. You can see why I replaced the original.
