I got a call from the Sheriff for a deer hit just south of my place this morning. Trooper shot it since it was still alive and drug it off the road.

Gutted the thing and hauled it up to get processed in Clear Lake. Two weeks ago I got one that a guy poached and DNR gave it to me.

So with the one from January that was hit and driver left it suffer. This is my third one of the year and still have room in the freezer.

But the cost of the sausage does empty the bank account. At this rate I may need to invest in sausage making equipment.
