I believe the cylinder is held in the casing with a small screw on the backside.

I did a Nova one once, I forget the trick, but it involved both hands and fiddling with 2 different things to pop it out.

this is a little different than what I remember, but should do the trick.
You have to have it unlocked, then put a 1/4" bolt head into the button cavity - it just fits with the 7/16 outer nut. (I could be mis-remembering, and this could be a 5/16 bolt head with the 1/2" head) Spin the bolt counterclockwise and the lock will pop right out.

Not sure of your year, but this is what I had to do to remove the one in my 71.

66-67 are completely different from 68 and up. John has the correct procedure to remove the lock case from the door. I don't remember how I installed mine but I tried a bolt head yesterday and they don't seem to fit in the bezel correctly either ??

Bring it by, I don't remember how, have done it before, but pretty sure we can figure it out.
Best you call first, I am running all over the place.
