What does this mean with regard to a 1966 Medium size Truck? N60-N960; U80-U980, T50-T90, L,LH40,L, LH50

Look for a part that was on a 66 medium size truck. It's just a clip for holding wire; but is not reproduced as it existed in 1966. There is a replica re-produced that I could use; but they want about $8 each plus shipping. Thanks

If you have a 4sp trans in a 66 you need two of these clips. I think that is also true for 67-68 4 spd. I think AMK has these available for a more reasonable price; but there mim order is $30.

If you have an AMK part number, put it in a search box and hit enter. If they are available form other sources, they will come up. I would bet some restoration vendors have them.

Part number is 2404001 There seems to be some kind of discrepancy as to weather this clip should be late covered. All the books I have looked at say latex, used from 63-66 on chevy medium sized trucks. So here is a 11K mile car (formally owned by the owner of Midway Chev that die a couple of years ago) with a photo of the clip. Plus they want to much money, AMK has what looks like a similar clip, 2 for $3.

Im betting anyone could easily just make that clip themselves without having to buy it.

search "adel clamp". They're commonly vinyl coated but can also be foam coated. Most hardware stores carry them. Though they were sold by GM back then as an OEM part, they were most likely replaced over time with a cheaper nut/bolt supplier version off the "shop supply" shelves. I'm sure we have some non-OEM version of them in our shopsupply bins at work.
I know you're a stickler for original, so it might be worthwhile to just save the brain damage and buy the correct ones, but I prefer the foam coated ones. I used them to hold my new fuel lines to the frame when I did the EFI swap a while back.

I just buy them at Ace Hardware. They may not be exactly as original but I don't have many people crawling under the car to check for authenticity either. 'Course there's very little left of my original car by now anyway...
