Big ouch, sorry to see that John. Our trip home was much less eventful. it was the open margarita bar at the neighbors birthday party when we got home that did me in.
Thanks to all that stepped up and manned the gate tonight. The club organizers were impressed with the club and asked if we would pick a Saturday or two to help them out next summer.
I met a few members I did not know and all in all had a great night. We had a great club presence tonight and as I recall about twelve club cars.

I would go again It was a good time and an excuse to go somewhere I usually wouldn't make it to.

I second Auto City, though you can also get the same glass from the same company: All Auto Glass be calling their Fridley store. I think they can transfer it down. Ask for Chris, tell him I referred you. Might be easier for you.

Fridley is a whole lot closer than Isanti...
The windshield in my '66 came from Auto City and fit pretty well. I did use 5/16 ribbon across the top to get the sides closer to the 3/8ths ribbon. Buy 1 roll of each to have on hand.
I have 2 huge suction clamps to handle the glass with for fitting and install, if you want to use them. It's easier with 2 people too...

Hopefully a chip and not a crack. I caught a rock about 8 yrs ago, it was just a chip and no crack had started. A windshield guy I had as a student just fixed the chip as a favor; because it was in an area that called for replacement. Replacement glass is in the attic along with everything else. Except I need to get those little rubber pieces that you need to set the position and height of the glass. Good luck. Mitch seems to have a tool for everything.

Nah, it's a HIT, and already starting to "star" about 1/4" in six directions...
I have to call my insu guy and see if I've got glass coverage on this - don't remember...
Searched out this guy Ron's Auto Glass. Seems to be the only glass guy/shop that has a dedicated page for classics & customs. Anyone know his work??

Not familiar with him but it looks like he could git-r-done if you don't want to do it yourself.
I believe MN requires full replacement windshield coverage, so it may be free with no deductible.

Never have had Ron do any glass work for me. He has been doing glass for many years now. His mentor in glass used to rent space from a friend at his body shop and met Ron while hanging out there. The 79 Hurst olds and I believe one of the other older Cutlass' in the pics are his personal cars. Greg who
taught Ron is still doing glass too and advertises on the MSRA line chaser. North something auto glass. I can look it up tonight if you'd like.

When you call them for the windshield, ask for a recommendation. They hooked me up with a guy who came out, did the butyl tape, had a couple spare clips, etc. Don't remember who though, it was almost 10 years ago.
Great night, good turnout.
Burgers & a beer at the Legion Hall, then some ice cream for dessert later!
(Blackie got a new battle-scar... caught a rock on the way home
)
Auto City Classics is great for windshield glass.
