Hit my first KS CL find, and it was almost in my backyard! Found a WS6 1 1/4" front anti-sway bar for $35!
I've been looking to pull the trigger on a new one, and pretty happy to find this one that fits A bodies too. Just need to buy new bushings and brackets and will be good to install after I scuff and paint the bar. It's been awhile since I've scratched the used parts buying itch, and kinda felt good.
Bought this from a guy that has a '66 GTO all out street/strip car that he's building up a 455 with an 8-71 blower on it. He told me he used to hang out at the Kansas MO-Kan dragstrip every weekend until it closed. Similar stories to the old Minneapolis drag strip from what I heard about that.
You may need shorter (or is it longer? I can't remember) end links to keep it from rubbing the tie rods.

I've got the same bar under Blackie... and the OEM links are too short. I crawled under and measured what length I'd need so the link ends of the bar were more or less parallel to the ground (at ride height), and would clear the tie-rods.
I wound up going to NAPA and asked to look through their suspension parts book (!! - yikes - paper book). Using the spec/breakdown tables in the back I found a set of links (with urethane bushings) that fit the bill. (Of all things I think they were for a Ford F-150 )

Thanks Guys for the tip on the sway bar end links. I'll have to look under it tonight, as for some reason I think with the lowering springs installed now, there are a lot of threads left on the links with the current bar, but will double check.

Are there any larger sway bars out there that will work with a 66 chevelle or does one have to buy an aftermarket set up?
