I found an article from October of last year, but yeah, I hadn't heard of it either.
Looks like a good trans for most small block cars, but I would like to see a convoluted boot on the shift shaft. That looks like a potential problem for getting dirty and sticking or conveying the grime into the cases.
The output spline should be matched to most standard trans too, for a easier conversion. I didn't find any info on length, to see if it needed a driveshaft length change.

Click on picture number three underneath it has some drawn in measurements. Looks like 22 1/4 length.

Guess I missed that...
I'll measure my M21 and see how it compares.

My M21 measures 21.75...1/2" shouldn't be an issue. The shifter location appears to be ~ 1" further back on theirs, but I don't have a mounting plate attached. I was just going off approximate location.
The price really isn't any different than the TKO at $2400 for a bare trans, but may be an easier conversion.

Kinda looks like a cross between an M2X and a T5?
Seems pricey for only up to 500 ft. lbs of torque. If it were in the low $2Kish price range, it might be worth considering to me.

Is McLeod a well known name in transmissions?

They have made high quality clutch and related parts for many years, but this is the first I've seen of them venturing into the transmission business.
The design appears to be all new and not a copy or adaptation of something that already exits. It would be interesting to know who they collaborated with to come up with it.

Looks a whole lot like a T5 to me. Those gear ratios listed are also identical to a T5. Maybe just a beefed up version of the Borg Warner.
Like Mitch, I also don't like the exposed shifter rail. I also hate that design, as to look inside, you have to remove the shifter and tail section to get the top off.
I would think we should be seeing some articles in magazines about it pretty soon.
Just saw this today in the new Jegs Catalog. Have not heard or seen anything about it in the magazines yet?
