Since I am rebuilding my carb in hopes of stopping leaks and cleaning the intake, etc so that I can touch  up some paint issues, I though maybe I should check the torque on the intakes and heads?  There is a little carbon/oil intake leak hear and there, mostly at the front corners of the intake and heads.  Or is this a waste of time. Not much work, just a new set of valve cover gaskets.  They I could look things over  and check the lash settings of the valves/push rods.  Thanks.
