Spotted a 68 Olds vert that has been sitting since 83 while out for one last drive today, what do you think it's worth?

It kind of interesting. Supreme SS with 350 rocket, AC, AM/FM, Cruise, Auto. Supposedly ran and everything worked including power top, when it was parked. Needs complete interior and top. Quarters and fenders need patches with rockers looking good. All trim and moldings are there. Not sure on trunk floor and interior floors. Car has sat for so long, looks as if frame is resting just above the ground and outdoors at moms house all that time. Original wheels and hubcaps with tires buried . Needs both bumper to be restored, since it sunk to the ground and chrome is rusting off.
Assuming that the frame and floor would be good, how much? What would a 68 olds frame cost? How much if frame and floors and trunk floor needing replacement?

Where you able to get some pictures? Supreme, is that the Cutlass body? Wow that's thirty plus years! Wheels sunk into the mud doesn't sound good, tough to even guess at value.
This is the kind of thing Mitch understand well let him chime in.

I know what's it's worth. If you got it free, unless you were going to just part it out, it will be worth less than you put into it.

I would venture a guess that the floors are non-existent, and the frame is trash since it sat outside on dirt.
Roger is right, it would cost much more to replace the entire chassis and bottom of car than it will ever be worth.
Go down south/west and buy a nice, solid car to begin with.
The '66 I brought back from Montana is in very good condition compared to anything that is around here.

Sounds like a parts-car...
Convertible parts will interchange with 68-72 Chevelle, so there's some value there... maybe $1500+ in parts to the guy who needs them.

Just looked at a 69 olds Cutlass Supreme convert from Texas yesterday. It is an AC car with automatic. Front end supposedly finished with new engine and trans. I didn't look under the hood as there was no one there. All parts seem to be there and original. Car is stripped to bare metal and some filler started, original top in pace but needing replacement.
Would most of the parts from the 68 cutlass swap to the 69? Seller asking $7500 but winter is approaching, so maybe he will take less.

Some of the '68 convertible parts may be unique to '68-only because of the vent windows... not sure on that.

'68 front buckets are unique to that year, if it has buckets.
'68-69 quarter windows are the same.
Not sure what you are getting at here, are you proposing to buy a '69 and turn it into a '68 .. or just looking for parts the '69 may need. If the '68 is sitting on the ground and rusting from there up, I don't see much below the door handles that would be savable.

Thinking about the 69 from Texas and using the 68 for spare parts. Like the ac parts, are they interchangeable? The cruise control from 68 work on a 69? Engine or trans parts interchange? Same radio in 68 and 69? How different is the dash from 68 to 69? Thinking the two cars could be had for $6000 total.

Personally I think the '68s are a LOT better looking than the '69s- taillights, grille, etc.
I'd love a '68 442 clone. Great looking cars!

The box is the same for 68-69 the condenser and hoses are different, harness could be modified to fit either side. Not sure on dash column is one year only in 68, pad is probably the same and the rest of the interior besides buckets

Sorry I had to do this so I could remember what they look like. I like them both but the price for the 69 seems a little steep for a car that is going to need a 5k paint job. I like the front end and rear deck on the 68 more than the 69. Don't flog me here but I think both cars look better that Chevelles.
