Good thing I don't have a trailer handy, as this one is still an A body, bucket seat/console, 455, could be a really nice sleeper or scuff and shoot project for $3K....
The LeMans looks interesting , since it has ac and auto. I don't know about that 66 chevelle, 12 bolt posi; but what year? It has buckets and a frame that might be salvageable; but the photo's are very grainy and without seeing the car in person, who knows. If I were in the Lincoln area, I would stop to look.

I would need to see a lot more pics of all areas and of much better quality to consider the '66 at the price level he's at. If it needs a trunk floor and quarters, it probable needs a lot more rust repair in the other common areas as well.
Stan, if you have friends/family in that area and someone wants to do an inspection, I'd like pics...

Even with desirable parts like the 12 bolt, the buckets, and the muncie. I would say its still priced too high. Looks like the photos he uploaded for the ad were sized wrong and ended up pixelated. Craigslist compresses large photos when you post them and they end up like that.
Find an 70-72 El Camino like one of those other cars that are stripped down to the shell and with the 72 thats for sale near Enganeer, you have all the parts you need.

The 66 buckets with the correct steel backs and skirts are a little hard to find and also a 66 12 bolt. Most likely a later year 12 bolt and buckets out of some other car. I would guess those alone would go for $2000 if they are from a 66 and any good. I wouldn't sell the spare 66 12 bolt posi I have in the garage for less than $1800.
The the muncie, depending upon condition, m20 or m21 would add more value. A 66 shifter and linkage is easily worth $200+. A good rolling frame would add more. Thats why you would actually have to see car and if I were near Lincoln, I would stop and look.

If the seats are original, they are trash, only good for the metal frames and even then, the left seat most likely has broken springs. All the metal panels will have surface rust and need cleaning, which is difficult because of the grain, they can't be sanded. Chemical dip or gentle blasting is about the only options. Any amount of rust scaling on those thin pieces usually results in pin holes, and they rust from the backside out so you can't see the extent of damage until you remove them. I paid $350 for the seats in my '66 2-3 years ago and they need complete restoration. IMO, the only way the seats in that car would be worth anymore than $400, is if they are already restored.
OK, just be fair, I emailed the owner for more pics and info. We'll see if he reply's and can determine what it really is....

I had my metal seat backs and skirts blasted and they came out perfect. And I painted them with a rattle can. They still look great and the grain is still very visible. I had the tracks and the springs and other parts blasted and also repainted them. All new seat cushions and padding along with new covers. A lot of work; but well worth it. And I had to replace a couple of springs
Probably any pair of old seats would need to be redone as above. Some should just go in the trash barrel; as I have do with some other seats. You never know until you see them and pull the covers off. $3-400 would be fair if they are restorable.
Not two may deals like the one on the 66 a/c heater control and cables from LeRoy.

I was actually in Lincoln for a family wedding when I posted this stuff, but too many family commitments to go look at either one. If anyone is serious about them, I have a couple of car buddies in Lincoln that could go check them out if needed.

And... it's a '69 GS 'California' with a 455 for $4500 (needs a resto).

I just talked with the owner of the '66. He doesn't have a computer and doesn't check his email, so never saw my request for more pics and info.
He has no idea what the transmission or rear axle are from, as they were in the car when he got it. He THINKS the buckets are correct 66 ...or maybe 67 ???
He said he has more pics on a computer and will try to get a friend to email them to me in the next few days. Car has been for sale there for 1 month at 4k, obviously, no takers local at that price level...
IF the pics show the body is decent, it may be worth having a friend of Stan's take a good look and maybe get more pics.

I hear you Derek. Those Le Mans arent worth much no matter how nice they are and the 66 is worth plenty more value wise. The Lemans for 3K is the car you maybe throw a cheap paint job on and fix the mechanicals and have fun with it and havent really broke the bank getting there.

Yep, they do. Just not as much as here. They use a mix of salt and other chemicals since they don't get quite as cold as here.
So, cars from that area all have at least surface rust, and those that have been around for a decade or so start to have body cancer too.

Stan- I just don't like those '68-'69 bodies. That droopy side trim/body line doesn't look aggressive or mean to me. I love it on a '50s kustom, but it's not 'muscular' at all. The GS cars didn't look the part...even if they run hard, they don't have any value on the market. I just got out of a car like that- I took a solid loss on the wagon but I truly enjoyed it for a long time and beat the **** out of it regularly. So that's justified a bit. I don't want to get into another orphan car though...!
A friend of mine had a '72 when I was a kid. It was only a 350 car but it was clean and had mags and mufflers. That later '70-'72 body style is nice - especially with some GS or GSX goodies (I really like the front and rear spoilers on the GSX- not everyone does but I think they're killer!)
But I'm not in the market right now either...I'm piddling around on the GN and that's fine for now.

I completely agree. The 68-69 Skylark is IMHO the only 64-72 GM A-body that I truly consider "ugly".

Yep, they do. Just not as much as here. They use a mix of salt and other chemicals since they don't get quite as cold as here.
